Lucy
Doll by Debra Maerz
from... Sebastian, FL

There are many times I purchase patterns but never open them and this Simplicity pattern number 2809 is one of them. When I saw Doll Net's 10th Annual Cloth Baby (and Animal) Doll Challenge, I remembered I purchased this pattern and decided to give it a go, not knowing if I would finish in time.
Baby doll Lucy was made with a polyester knit fabric and stuffed with Poly-fill, she is super soft and cuddly. Her facial features are embroidered, and I crocheted a wig cap and used faux fur yarn for her hair. I made her clothes and head band from cotton fabric and her little toy kitten was made with craft velour, stuffed with Poly-fil with embroidered facial features.

Bonnie Belle
Doll by Heather Harris
from... Pass Christian, MS

This is Bonnie Belle. She is made using a vintage Butterick pattern 290/291 with acrylic brushed out yarn hair, soft cotton body with button joint arms. The outfit is hand made, with store bought shoes and socks.
My love of Anime helped influence her creation. She is just learning to stand and hold herself up good. She loves the color blue and pretty princess dresses. You cannot help but hug her, with those big blue eyes!

Priscilla aka "Peanut"
Doll by Heather Harris
from... Pass Christian, MS

This is Priscilla aka "peanut" she is created from a Lyns's Doll House pattern. I changed the feet a little and created my own embroidered face, with Tibetan lamb hair. She has a hand sewn outfit, socks and panties, along with a bonnet. She has button joints and soft poly-FIL stuffing.
She is pouting at present. You see, she found some sewing spools she wasn't supposed to get into while playing, and has gotten her hair quite a mess while playing. Mom was excited to get it in small little piggies finally. But, I think she will be just fine after a short nap.

Gracie Anne
Doll by Rhonda Washburn
from... Auburn, ME

Hi my name is Gracie Anne. I am almost 9 months old I can not walk yet but I can crawl really fast. My mommy made me out of velour fabric to be her bundle of joy. My mommy made me using the "Tiny Baby Love" pattern designed by Judi Ward. My mommy needle sculpted me and I have the cutest little bottom. She added sculpt to my eyes and mouth along with my wrists, and a knot to my belly button. She embroidered my eyes, nose and mouth. My hair is made using long fur fabric that mommy styled in to pigtails with pink bows.
She made my dress using the dress pattern that came with the doll pattern. The diaper was also based on the doll pattern and trimmed with fancy machine stitches. My crocheted blanket and pillow are her own designs. My crochet baby dolly is from a pattern design by Liz Field which is an older pattern from Annie's pattern club. My favorite color is pink just like my mommy's.

Chelsea
Doll by Laura Kaspar
from... Bakersfield, CA

Meet Chelsea. At 6 1/2 inches long, Chelsea is designed to be approximately 1/4 scale to a real life baby. Chelsea is my own original design, She is all cloth and is jointed at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, ankles and waist as well as having wired fingers and inset eyes. Chelsea is soft sculpted using a lycra cloth-over technique to eliminate the seam lines in Chelsea's face. Pencils were used to color her face and body.
She is dressed in a little dress, diaper cover and diaper, all designed by me. Her blanket was knitted by me as well, using the smallest knitting needles I could find and crochet thread to try to keep in scale.
Thank for taking time to look at this little baby

Alleta the Baby Flower Fairy
Doll by Teresa Petrino
from... Greenwich, Ct.

I made this doll, using the pattern- "Robin, Baby Flower Fairy" by Arlene Cano (Arlene's Original Designs). She measures approx. 5", sitting, and is made from bathing suit lining. The face has a little bit of needlesculpting for her nose. I used some blush, a fabric marker, and acrylic paints for her face. I made the wings using the designer's wing pattern as a template and formed the shape of them into a single piece of two wings, with colored wire. I then covered them with two pieces of colored knee high stocking, fused together in the middle. I made her flower outfit by crocheting a bunch of flowers and leaves, and then stitching each one together, freeform style.
Her outfit can be removed if desired. The crocheted flowers are a design from www.picot.com. I prefer to sew over gluing, if possible, but I love the designer's approach to doing the wig, so I did follow her technique, and used glue for the wig. The log, in the background, is an accessory, that I bought.

Ella
Doll by Kelly Miller
from... Lilly, Pa.

My doll's name is Ella, & she was made using the pattern "Baby Mine 19'" by NimblePhish 2016. I adapted the pattern with a different nose, I added hair, & ears. I needle sculpted the fingers, toes, elbows, knees, & buttocks. I adapted the hat, to include a bunny decal using felt & pom poms. The diaper was adapted by adding elastic differently around the leg holes & adding safety pins instead of Velcro (as the pattern suggested). I designed the dress with bunny decal (similiar to the hat), the socks were made with stretchy nylon edged with lace. The shoes were made using faux leather (eyelets punched out with paper punch), & the soles were made with foam. Braided yarn was used for the shoelaces. The additional items in the photos was purchased : pacifier and bunnies.

Hannah
Doll by Kelly Miller
from... Lilly, Pa.

My doll's name is Hannah, & it is created using the pattern "Shy Violet 19" by Carolee Creations. I followed the original pattern with minor adaptions to the face & hair. I needle sculpted the elbows, wrists, knees, belly button & buttocks. The diaper was adapted by adding elastic differently around the leg holes & adding safety pins instead of Velcro (as the pattern suggested from pattern "Baby Mine 19", created by NimblePhish 2016). I designed the socks with stretchy nylon edged with lace, then added bows using the camo fabric. I also made a headband with the same fabric & lace. The shoes I designed using faux leather (eyelets punched out with paper punch), & the soles were made with foam. Braided yarn was used for the shoelaces. I altered the overdress pattern included with this doll pattern into a dress by adding a collar, double half sleeves & sewing a back seam closure. The camo fabric used was to represent "Daddy's Future Hunting Buddy".
