Trixie
Doll by Deborah Robinson
from... Wayland, NY

Trixie is 24" tall and was created from a 1950's mail order pattern for a girl doll, given to me by my grandmother many years ago, the wee witch was my idea. The pattern didn't list the designer.
Halloween is my favorite holiday, as you can see, and is a fun time for children to dress up and hope for a bag filled with goodies. Trixie has "cupcakes and candy balls" in her treat bag and her pet frog is sure to help her sort out the goodies. I made the costume for Trixie not her goodies and pet frog which were things I had purchased.
No tricks played but I hope you enjoyed this sweet treat!

Thanksgiving Annie
Doll by Diana Neill
from... Ontario, OR

I chose Thanksgiving as my favorite holiday because I
love gathering around the table together as a family, being thankful
for all that we have. I also love all the autumn
decorations--pumpkins and scarecrows, orange and brown colors, apple
cider and cinnamon. I also have a fascination for vintage dolls, like
Raggedy Anne. Thus, I created "Thanksgiving Annie."
Most of the techniques I used for this doll were new to me. Annie
stands 16" tall, buttons for joints on her arms and legs, tied at the
knees to allow for bending, wears plastic store-bought shoes. I
handstitched the embroidery design onto the apron.
Pattern for the body, dress, and bloomers--"16-inch Raggedy Annie" by charmingsbycmh, but altered. I redrew my own body piece to be more like a torso shape, rather than a square and used a different pattern for the head (Early Prairie Sisters by Sweet Meadows Farm) to be more round like a ball. I also rounded the tops of the arms and legs, and added thumbs. The apron is my own pattern.
For the basket, I used the pattern on Sew Mama Sew, sized down. I
used the tutorial from My Froggy Stuff for the bread.

Beautiful 17" fully-jointed doll with darling 8" poodle made from a Kezi patterns.
When I saw this doll and her lovely dog I knew I must made it and I think its the best from all Kezi's pattern. I tried to see if anyone else
made this doll too but never saw it.
I have made Dominique the Harlequin all from felt, her hair is from yarn, her hat and shoes are from felt
too. The dress is made from silk dupioni and cotton tulle. All of her full dress set is well decorated with laces, bows, cord, bells, pearls and more.
Her face features are painted with acrylic colors.
Her dog, Fifi, is made from felt too. She has
yarn hair that was made according to the pattern instructions. Next to Dominique & Fifi there is a bunny bride plush within a large doll shoe
which I made to use as a pin cushion. All completely stitched by hand.

Gabrielle
Doll by Theresa Morano
from... East Amherst, NY

Gabrielle is made with Jodie Davis'™ Fairy Tale Dolls pattern. I wanted Gabrielle to have a unique look, so I gave her purple eyes, plum colored lips and black hair. I individually separated each strand of yarn hair to give it a curly texture. I blushed her cheeks with a colored pencil. I designed and hand sewed her dress without using any pattern.
Gabrielle is all dolled up for Easter. She is wearing her favorite floral and ruffle dress along with an Easter bonnet.
The blanket, bonnet, basket, and toys were purchased.
